Spring Creek Youth Federation Little League Presents Season Trophies

Screen Shot 2014-12-19 at 8.58.05 AM“Things went well last season, and we had a lot of parents involved,” Jose Lozada, President of the Spring
Creek Youth Federation Little League said.

On Sunday, December 14, the YouthFed (as the community’s decades old youth sports organization is commonly known) held its annual Awards Ceremony at the Brooklyn Sports Club. More than 300 players, family members, coaches and managers filled the fitness club’s gymnasium, which was set up with tables and chairs to accommodate buffet dining and trophy presentations.

“We had a good number of kids from different leagues join ours. Kids that live in the community,” said Lozada who is enthusiastically looking forward to the 2015 season that starts in April.

The YouthFed organized a High School Division of Junior (14 year olds) and Senior (18 year olds) in the 2014 season; both had winning records. The Juniors went to Boston to play in the championship round of the Pony Regionals. The Seniors made it to the division’s semi-finals. “So many three and four year olds signed up for T-Ball, we had to start a wait list, said Lazado who humoursly said he especially likes seeing TBallers
on the field because they do really cute and amazing things while learning and playing the game.

As is the YouthFed’s longstanding tradition, all players received trophies for their participation. Listed below are division players who distinguished themselves in certain categories, and the coach awards.
