On Saturday, January 25th, Frederick Douglas Academy VIII held a free workshop for parents in arts and crafts. The parents were given a copy of a Mandala on paper. They were given materials that one would use to make a quilt, so they could sew their own version of the Mandala and tailor the design with their own creativity.
All of the parents really enjoyed this workshop and expressed to Parent Coordinator, Ladrecia Balfour how they had a great time and how they would really like to have another workshop of this kind so they could finish off their projects. Parents even asked if this could possibly be a monthly event because they really enjoyed it.
