Five Tips to Avoid Dry Winter Skin

This winter we are feeling the temperatures drop and this will cause your skin to feel dry. Make-up artist, Marisol Rivera has five tips for you to avoid having dry skin this winter.


Tip 1: Rivera states that using Clinique Clarifying lotion will help alleviate the feeling of having your skin feel rough. This product is made for all types of skin and is sold in all major department stores such as; Macy’s, Bloomingdale, Lord & Taylor and this can also be found in specialty stores such as Ulta, and Sephora. This is best to be used on a daily basis.


Tip 2: Using an Enzyme Peel Exfoliator (any brand will do) will help to keep your skin glowing and shining. You can purchase this item at any local drug store or specialty store. This should be used once a month for that refreshing illuminating feeling.

Tip 3: Using a Brightening Youth Glow will allow your skin to shine bright and give your appearance a revived and energized look. You can use any brand which is sold in most drug and specialty stores. Rivera says that this is good to use twice a week to perk up your skin.

Tip 4: In order to stimulate your skin and restore the fresh feeling, Rivera suggests that you use a facial cream on a daily basis is best to keep your skin rejuvenated. Rivera says that her favorite brand of facial cream is Kiehls. “I like the Kiehls brand because its very lightweight and leaves the skin feeling refreshed and naturally glowing,” says Rivera.

Tip 5: Rivera says that it is best to use a moisturizing soft cream on a daily basis. There are many types of moisturizing soft creams and you can purchase them at a supermarket, local drug or spe-cialty store (Ulta, Sephora, Bath & Body Works, etc.)


These tips should help you keep your skin feeling recharged during the cold winter weather.
