Dark SoulsDark Souls 3

Release Date: April 12th

Rated: M for Mature

Platform: Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Microsoft Windows

Cost: $59.99

This series has a reputation for being punishingly difficult, while, by the same token, also providing an incredibly rewarding experience. After creating and customizing a unique avatar, you must explore a gothic world in which powerful monsters and supernatural villains lurk in every nook and cranny. It can be quite a grind fest, battling the same adversaries, attempting to achieve a higher level so you can pummel your foes into submission. However, this style of play, alongside the famed difficulty, gives you an astonishing sense of accomplishment when you finally attain victory. Dark Souls’ multiplayer is also a fantastic element, giving you the ability to call in a friend to help you overcome those hard to kill bosses. If you like long, challenging adventures, Dark Souls 3 is the game for you.

UnchartedUncharted 4: A Thief’s End

Release Date: May 10th

Rated: T for Teens

Platform: PlayStation 4 (PS4) Cost: $59.99

Possibly the most anticipated PS4 game of the year, Uncharted promises to take you on the adventure of a lifetime. Taking place years after the last iteration, our hero, Nathan Drake, is now retired, putting aside his yearnings for adventure, although he does not stay that way for long. Nathan’s— presumed dead—brother appears, seeking the treasure hunter’s help. Not only is Uncharted returning with a great storyline, ultra-realistic environments, and breathtaking character models, there is also a host of new features as well, such as fluid movement, the addition of a grappling hook, and a new, over-hauled, combat system. This is not just a single player experience, either. There will be fast-paced online modes for you and your friends to partake in. Be ready, this is one adventure you don’t want to miss out on.
