“I have several herniated disks, so I have been looking into a new form of laser surgery. I hope with the New Year, if this surgery is what it’s cracked up to be, I will be able to get this procedure done. For the world, I think we need a better quality of jobs, life and pay.”
Kareem Rahman, 17, a student at Victory Collegiate High School. “I hope the New Year brings me prosperity and peace of mind. As for the world, I hope everyone can be more understanding towards each other.”
Sharell Mackins, 30, with daughters: Skylah,6, Saryah, 7, and Shaniyah, 10.
“I hope with the New Year I will become a better role model for my children. And I hope the New Year will bring more equality in the world. I want there to be peace, respect and understanding between all races. I also want there to be more unity between women. Instead of seeing each other as competitors, let’s join together to create a support system.”
Saryah, 7, says “I want to visit my grandmother [in Georgia]. I want everyone in the world to be nice to each other so we can live in peace and harmony.”
Shaniyah, 10, says,“I want to go on a family vacation somewhere very special. And for the world, I want there to be togetherness. I also want to be a better role model for my sisters.”
