JASA’s Holiday Fundraiser

By Amanda Moses

Tis the season for good tidings and cheer! Members of JASA Starrett Senior Center are embracing the holiday spirit with a festive fundraiser for St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. The items sold, which mostly consist of jewelry, clothing and a few miscellaneous items, would make lovely gifts for spouses, grandchildren, friends, and family members for the holidays. Many of these fashionable goods range from decadent faux pearls to crystal rings that could be worn casually or formally.

Upon entering the lower level of the Brooklyn Sports Club (BSC), visitors are greeted with light refreshments, munchkin donuts and other small treats to their right, and on their left there is a long table, festively decorated for the holidays, with dozens of necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, and even small purses. Candles, picture frames, and even mousepads with cute baby animals are on full display for anyone to purchase. There is also a clothing rack filled with scarves, hats, jackets, sweaters and all types of wearables.

There is something for everyone at JASA’s charity table. The sale will be held up until JASA’s holiday party on December 19th. If you are interested in purchasing a gift for a loved one and helping donate towards a good cause, take a moment to stop by JASA in the lower level of the BSC.
