K.N.U.L.I.F.E (Kids Need Unconditional Love Including Fun & Exercise) Basketball Camp ended the summer with a slam dunk during their end of the season tournament in the Brooklyn Sports Club’s (BSC) gymnasium.
Founded in 2008, the camp helps to provide a safe haven for children in a disciplined environment where they can flourish as individuals. Since July 6th the summer camp was held at the BSC, where K.N.U.L.I.F.E counselors taught children, ages 5-15, lessons on basketball techniques, team work, problem solving, strategy, leadership skills, humility, commitment, concentration, focus, and learning the importance of hard work. It isn’t about winning, it is about learning how to play the game.
On August 20th, members of the camp were able to show off the skills they have learned to their family and friends during the end of the summer basketball tournament. Each age group was able to compete in different competitions, from freethrowing, three-point shots to 15 minute team games. The winners of each age group received various trophies and prizes.
