FALL BALL INTERNATIONAL FOOD FESTIVAL

NOVEMBER 25th @ NOON-2 PM

Your favorite event is back – INTERNATIONAL FOOD FESTIVAL. Join us as we celebrate the holidays, our community and our diverse cultures during our very festive and popular annual event.  If you would like to contribute a favorite dish or volunteer, please contact Rema Kabani at 718/348.7620.  Bring your friends and join us for delicious food and great company.   Due to our success, this year we will hold this event in the Café Area of the BROOKLYN SPORTS CLUB, 1540 Van Siclen Avenue, near Schroeders Avenue.


EVENT:  EMERGENCY PREPAREDNESS, Tuesday, Dec. 9 @ 1:30 p.m.

Are you prepared in case of an environmental disaster or emergency.  What do you and your families need to know and do to be prepared.  Mr. Lenny James from the NYC Department for the Aging will present on what you need to do.

October 15 to December 7 is when ALL people with Medicare can change their Medicare health plan and prescription drug coverage for 2014. Information on 2014 plans will be available beginning in October. People with Medicare can call 1-800-MEDICARE or visitwww.medicare.gov for plan information. During Fall Enrollment, people with Medicare have the right to change their Medicare health and drug coverage options without restriction.  If a person is satisfied that their current plan will meet their needs for next year, they don’t need to do anything.

JEWISH COMMUNITY COUNCIL OF CANARSIE and MAIMONIDES MEDICAL CENTER to present a CARDIAC SYMPOSIUM on Thursday, November 13 at 2:30 p.m. 1170 Pennsylvania Avenue

DR. ROBERT A. FRANKEL, M.D., DIRECTOR OR INTERVENTIONAL CARDIOLOGY MAIMONIDES MEDICAL CENTER will present a luncheon lecture on Heart Health.

Attendance is free but space is limited and a reservation is required.
