Remembering Keith McDonald

Obituary Provided by the McDonald Family

On April 20th, Spring Creek Towers; Department of Public Safety Officer, Keith McDonald passed away due to pneumonia complications.

He was born on May 28, 1988 in Brookdale Hospital to the late Elmore L. McDonald Jr. and Sharon L. Solomon-McDonald. He was the youngest of four siblings (Elmore L. McDonald III, the late Michael G. McDonald and Linae McDonald). Keith was a lover of life, family, and happiness. He had a quick wit, charming and joking personality that helped him form many meaningful relationships and navigate through his childhood experiences into adulthood. His love for family and those he adopted as extended family including his relationship with long-term girlfriend, Brenda Delva was no secret.

He relished passing his knowledge (both constructive and mischievous) onto the younger generations behind him. Keith also enjoyed watching and playing sports, especially football (Go Blue! -The NY Giants) and was an athlete himself as he was a part of a summer league football team in Harlem during his youth. He lived and moved to the beat of his own drum and dared to be himself, no matter his surroundings.

Keith attended Science Skills Center High School and later transferred into an Accelerated College Degree Program at the Global Institute of Technology. He later became a Peace Officer/ Special Patrolman with Spring Creek Towers’ Department of Public Safety in 2009. He was respected among his colleagues and the members of his community. He never took for granted his influence and responsibility as a public servant.

Keith leaves behind a host of family members who loved him very much.
We extend our deepest gratitude for Keith McDonald’s steadfast service and extend our condolences to his family and loved ones.
