The Starrett City Tenant Association’s (SCTA) Annual Fall Festival was scaled back this year due to the pandemic. However, the SCTA still provided a fall celebration for children between the ages of two to eleven with a community pumpkin patch on October 31st. All of the children who participated were accompanied by their parents or guardians and everyone had face masks or face coverings on. This socially distant festivity invited children to enter the pumpkin patch set up on the basketball courts on Van Siclen and Schroeders Avenues. Children selected the pumpkin of their choice to take home.
“Although it was a cold day, parents and children still came in and out all day. The participants and volunteers had a fun time,” said Rebecca Caraballo, SCTA President.
