On November 8th, the Spring Creek After School Program hosted a Paint and Sip night from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm for the families of children enrolled in the After School Program. This Paint and Sip took place in the lower level of the Brooklyn Sports Club. Twenty-five family members came out for a night of fun. This was a free event for the families of After School participants.
This fun occasion allowed parents a chance to enjoy some time to themselves where they could relax, paint and also get to know some other parents. Everyone needs to have some fun and drift away from their daily activities. A majority of the family members were able to do just that and even paint two pictures. While painting, families and friends enjoyed listening to Old School Jams and R & B Soul music. The music set the tone of a relaxed atmosphere and allowed the families to kick back and to enjoy the evening. In addition to the music, families were treated to some cheese, crackers, chips, and of course some Apple Cider!
“This was a really fun event. It gave the parents the opportunity to leave the kids at home and destress,” said Crystal Bandie, Site Supervisor of Spring Creek After School Program.
