On December 12th, the Spring Creek After School Program hosted their third annual holiday feast in the lower level of the Brooklyn Sports Club (BSC). This festive event invited parents and children to share a delicious meal together while discussing their experiences with the program and what activities they hope to engage in the future.
The BSC’s Aspen room was transformed into a jolly buffet for families to enjoy, featuring mac and cheese, rice, baked ziti, steak and broccoli, fried chicken, and other delectable dishes. Those in attendance wore festive attire and reindeer headbands. Together the students colored and participated in team building exercises while they listened to seasonal music. At the culmination of the event, a raffle was held.
Spring Creek After School Program Director, Jeremy Williams, was pleased with the event’s turnout (about 40 families attended). “As busy as everyone’s schedules are, it’s good to see parents meeting other parents whom they wouldn’t have the chance to ordinarily meet. It brings me great joy to see families sit and dine together for one night as the Spring Creek After School Staff serve them,” Williams said.
