Spring Creek Afterschool Program’s FunFuzion Trip

Over the spring break, the Spring Creek Afterschool Program and members of Teen Central took a trip to New Rochelle for a full day of activities at FunFuzion, an indoor amusement park that offers various entertainment experiences, such as video games, rides, Lazer Tag, Glow-in-the-Dark Bowling, Billiards, Yucatan Mini Golf, and Ping Pong.

“We choose FunFuzion because the location is filled with many different activities for the students to engage in with their family, friends, and counselors,” said Crystal Bandie, a Site Supervisor for the Spring Creek Afterschool Program.

The students were all excited to play Glow-in-the-Dark Bowling and mini-golf with their friends. “I had so much fun bowling with my friends; it was great seeing them during the break. I can’t wait for the next trip,” said Spring Creek Afterschool student, Anthony.

They even played competitive games like Lazer Tag and Basketball shoot-out with their counselors. “With all the fun we were having, we didn’t even realize time was passing us by while we were at FunFuzion for approximately two hours,” Bandie said.

The children even got into bumper cars and had a great time spinning around, bumping and racing. Madison, another Spring Creek Afterschool program student said, “This was one of the best trips that I have ever been on.”

The trip left many of the children wanting more. Many of them vowed to return back with their friends and family like Spring Creek Afterschool student, Victoria. “FunFuzion was fun and I can’t wait to come back with my family,” she said.
