Spring Creek Towers’ 2019 Scholarship Program Winners

BY: PAMELA STERN

High school seniors embark on many things throughout their last year of school, like their prom, graduation and then they have to decide what their next step will be! They go and visit different colleges and universities to see which would best prepare them for their future career. This decision could be overwhelming. Making the right choice of college, university, business school or specialty training schools may be compelling, but this is the first step towards attaining their career goal. In addition, to choosing the right path which will lead them to their choice of career comes the concern of the financial cost to continue their education.

The Spring Creek Towers (SCT) Scholarship Program has been awarding high school seniors scholarships annually since 1986 to ease some of the financial burden for SCT high school seniors and their families. Over 1.2 million dollars has been awarded since the inception of the program. This year seven high school seniors were awarded scholarships, three were awarded Academic Scholarships and four were awarded Community Service Scholarships.

Each of these seven recipients have clear aspirations, and with the help of the SCT Towers Scholarship Program, they will be on their way to further their education and fulfill their dreams and aspirations.

SCT Scholarship eligibility requirements include; high school transcripts, SAT scores, a written essay, letters of recommendation, documentation of community service, and an in person interview with the selection committee.
