Spring Creek Towers’ 2020 Scholarship Program Winners

By Pamela Stern

This year’s high school seniors had a very different experience in the last four months of the school term. Schools closed and remote learning became the norm because of the pandemic. The senior year activities seniors were cancelled. Although some high schools held virtual proms and virtual graduations online, it just wasn’t the same.

However, a constant for many seniors and their families were decisions about choosing the college that best fit their aspirations and, of course, tuition. Such decisions may be overwhelming especially when there are financial concerns.

The Spring Creek Towers (SCT) Scholarship Program has been awarding high school seniors scholarships annually since 1986 to ease some of the financial burden for SCT high school seniors and their families. Over 1.2 million dollars has been awarded since the inception of the program. This year seven high school seniors were awarded scholarships.

SCT Scholarship eligibility requirements include; high school transcripts, SAT scores, a written essay, letters of recommendation, documentation of community service, and a personal interview with the selection committee.
