Starrett City Tenant Association’s Upcoming Elections

The two year term for the current Executive Board Officers in the Starrett City Tenant Association’s (SCTA) will expire on June 30th.

The Advisory board’s nominating committee invites prospective qualified candidates to submit letters of intent for officer positions by April 30th. These candidates will be announced at a meeting to be held on on May 9th at 7pm at the Brooklyn Sports Club (lower level) room 3. There will also be opportunities for SCTA members in good standing to make nominations from the floor at that meeting.

Letters of intent are being accepted for Executive Board Officer positions for all offices: President, First Vice President, Second Vice President, Treasurer, Financial Secretary, Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secre-tary, and two Sergeants-at-arms.

Anyone interested in seeking a position should send a resume / letter of intent to the SCTA Nominating Committee, 1460 Pennsylvania Ave #1D, Brooklyn, NY 11239. The deadline for resumes/letters of intent is April 30th. The Nominating Committee will interview interested parties the week of May 5th.

Qualified Nominees for Executive Board Officer positions of the Starrett City Tenant Association, Inc. for the period, July 1, 2018 through June 30, 2020, will be announced at the Advisory board meeting on May 9th.

If there are more than one qualified nominee for any office, elections will be held at the SCTA office – 1460 Pennsylvania Ave #1D – by closed ballot on Wednesday, May 23rd for currently paid up (in good standing) tenant association members. SCTA members/Candidates must be paid up (in good standing) and must have attended at least (two/thirds) 2/3 of the meetings during the year.
