What adventures will you and your family be having this holiday season? Will you be fighting crime dressed as a bat on Christmas Eve? Or will you be sailing your ship through the Caribbean in search of gold? Maybe, just maybe, you will be wrestling for the WWE championship in front of thousands of your biggest fans.

These three scenarios are all possible with the latest video games for your home console systems. The problem is there are so many games to choose from it can be hard to pick one for your family members. But don’t worry this list of five games will be sure to help you narrow down the search, and remember to check out the age rating on each game before you make a choice.

Batman Arkham Origins lets you play as the Dark Knight himself on one of his darkest of nights. On Christmas Eve a crime lord known throughout Gotham City as the Black Mask has placed a bounty on Batman’s head. You have to help your hero defeat the assassins that are coming to collect that holiday bounty, and ultimately put the Black Mask back behind bars. Batman Arkham Origins is rated T for teen and is available on Nintendo Wii U (Wii U), Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (Ps3).

Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag is for the more mature gamer. Set in the golden age of piracy you play as privateer turned pirate. Sailing through the lush waters of the Caribbean with your crew by your side, you will embark on great adventures that include exhilarating sword fights and intense naval battles. You will even encounter some historical swashbucklers like Blackbeard himself. But ye’ be warned there are no Disney Pirates here! This game is for adults only and is rated M for mature. Assassin’s Creed 4 Black Flag is available on Wii U, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Ps3 and PlayStation4.

• WWE2K14 encompasses the history of sports entertainment on one disc. You can relive every single Wrestlemania that has ever been, including last April’s event. You begin your wrestling journey as André the Giant vs. Big John Stud at Wreslemania One, which has been faithfully recreated with a vintage screen filter making it seem like you have been transported back into the 1980s. You fight your way through all of history’s greatest matches, all the way up to this year’s the Rock vs. John Cena for the WWE title. WWE2k14 is rated T for Teen and is available on Xbox 360 and Ps3.

• Pokémon X and Y are great games for the whole family as well as gamers who like to play on the go. You create your Pokémon trainer before starting your travels through an incredible world filled with creatures to collect and care for. This is a great game for any member of the family no matter how young or old. Pokémon X and Y is for the Nintendo 3DS or 2DS and is rated E for everyone.

Lego Marvel Superheroes is a game that is jam-packed with all the Marvel super heroes you can imagine, but in tiny Lego form. Whether you are swinging your way through New York City as little Lego Spider-Man or flying through it as Iron Man you will have to fight, build and work as a team to overcome evil Lego Loki and his team of villains. Lego Marvel Superheroes is rated E10+ so it is a great game for everyone ages 10 and up. It is available on Xbox 360, PS3, Nintendo 3Ds or 2Ds, Wii U and PlayStation Vita.
